Chung Do Kwan (CDK) is the world’s oldest system or school of Taekwondo (TKD) and one of the original 5 great Kwans or Schools of TKD. CDK is one of the 2 largest TKD styles in the world. It was founded by Grand Master LEE, Won-Kuk in 1944. He received instruction directly from Gichin Funakoshi Sensei who was the founder of Japanese Karate. Its special fighting characteristics are the emphasis of deep power penetration, resulting in greater external and probable internal damage. Exponents (fighters) were some of the most aggressive and victorious during the early years of TKD (1950’s to 1960’s) in Republic of Korea.

The current Head of Chung Do Kwan is Grand Master PARK, Hae Man.

We learn & practise Taekwondo Chung Do Kwan under Grand Master LTC Dr Julian Lim, certified 9th Dan TKD Chung Do Kwan and 8th Dan Kukkiwon (World Taekwondo HQ).
