A Thousand Miles Away
“The journey of a 1000 miles begins with 1 step.”
Martial Arts isn’t a destination, it is a journey. A life long journey.
Within these ancient arts are the fundamentals of self defense against unnecessary tragedy like robbery or kidnapping.
Everyone acknowledges practicing such an art enables us to protect something that we love or is valuable to us, like LIFE but not many are willing to commit to it.
Hapkido, a Korean Martial Art utilises one the effective way to overcome possible life threatening situations. Effectiveness comes with consistent training necessary to instill calmness when applying techniques during unexpected situations.
Not everything in life is so dramatic. What is important is the calmness Hapkido instills. The same principles applied in combat also provide the calmness to weather the storms of life.
Ralph Hee, founder of UTAR TaeKwonDo WTF club embodies the dedication and consistency born of consistent training.
From the age of 6, he has practiced a variety of martial arts. He is now, one of the more proficient Hapkido practitioners in Malaysia, certified by Korea. There is still a journey before him to master the art of Hapkido, but he is ready. Hapkido is LIFE.
